Our Bullseye 90 COE Glass Murrini is hand, pulled in our little shop in Wisconsin
As Glass is heated and begins to flow each pull is individual. The pattern can fluctuate from the beginning to the end. Many times, changing it completely. Glass murrini flowers are intricate, decorative elements often used in glass art and jewelry. Murrini refers to a technique that involves creating patterns or images with slices of glass cane. For Orange glass murrini flowers, artisans typically start with a cane made up of layers of colored glass, which is then stretched and sliced to reveal the floral pattern within. These slices, when viewed from the side, resemble miniature flowers with vibrant colors. The patterns can range from simple to highly detailed, capturing the delicate beauty of real flowers in a compact, glass form. These murrini pieces can be embedded in larger glassworks, such as vases, beads, or pendants, adding a pop of color and intricate detail to the final piece.
Our cane is sold by the ounce and many times it is over an ounce. Sizes can vary as our patterns and finished product are unique. Each piece is approximately 2” long. The number of pieces in each bag depends on the size of the cane. To maintain Murrini shape a gentle tack fuse is best each kiln is different, so we don’t recommend firing above 1350
